Transition time

Warming surf temps mean bait fish and things that eat bait fish are showing up.

This 40Lb + Cownosed Ray gave a good pull.  I flipped her over for a quick hook out and release.

First surf fish of the season

Squeezed in an hour on a recent run south and caught my first surf fish of the 2016 season.  A nice keeper Pompano, one of my favorite non shark surf species.  Kissed and released to fight (and eat) another day.

I'll be back…(again)

Well the last couple of years have been a blur.  Lots of time on the beach fortunately with many memorable catches, with spring fast approaching I find myself looking forward to another (hopefully) fantastic year of surf casting.
